▶ Graduation Thesis Guideline for Robotics Program (for whom entered before 2019)

  1. The graduating student must have one or more papers published/presented in one or more publication venues in the below lists.

  2. Automatic pass will be given to graduating students who have satisfied the graduation requirements of the affiliated Department of the student’s advisor.

    • Should there be a change in the affiliation of the student’s advisor while the student is completing the degree, the student may choose the applied Department requirement (former affiliation or current affiliation).

    • If the student’s advisor is affiliated to the School of Electrical Engineering, the student may choose the applied policy (former requirement policy or the current requirement policy).

  3. For journals not included in the above requirements, or should there be an outstanding research outcome related to Robotics, the Ph.D. Degree Committee (Steering Committee) of the Robotics Program will give a decision based on a final evaluation.

▶ Graduation Thesis Guideline for Robotics Program (from Freshman of 2020)

    • If the student’s advisor is affiliated to the School of Electrical Engineering, the student will be evaluated under the former requirement policy (Thus, the advisor should directly form the thesis evaluation committee).

  2. For outstanding research outcomes (international journals or international conferences) related to Robotics, the Ph.D. Degree Committee (Steering Committee) of the Robotics Program will give a decision based on a final evaluation.

    • The student’s advisor must submit a Statement of Opinion on the outstanding research. (Quantitative descriptions (e.g. IF, h-index, etc.) and qualitative descriptions must both be included. The official format will be prepared by the Steering Committee and announced in the near future.)
